I didnt really get into the spirit this year. Barely any lights up where I was, and snow just didn't come. It felt like mild Autumn.
The cold snap that's been raging for over a week seems to have abated a bit, and I wanted to get into the Christmas mood, so I went downtown.
However, since all the people who had been stuck at home had come out, I was soon swept up in the crowd and it was hard to walk on the streets. I was afraid that someone would fall and cause a big accident, so I hurried back home. Even though the cold had receded, the weather was still hard on me, and the lines at restaurants were so long that I couldn't eat and came home hungry.
I guess it's best to stay home during the holidays than to go out in the crowds.
~bartender, can I order some hot udon noodles here? 🍜🥢🍺

A week ago, I wondered if we'd ever had such a warm winter, and then, as if to mock the idea, a bitter cold snap hit. In the face of the weather, we're just one small, helpless animal. We can only kneel before the mighty forces of nature. I'm sure winter will be here soon where you live.
I hope you have a great holiday season. :)
Going out into the crowds can be fun but with the risk of a cold and long lines, yeah it can be more cozy to stay at home. Sometimes, when I’m alone, I just like to mildly peek at people and see what they’re up to outside. Could be interesting without the wait if you don’t mind a walk in the cold. Always best to prep it with the hottest cocoa / coffee / tea possible to keep your hands from snapping.
Anyway, merry Christmas to you! Stay warm and cozy and enjoy your udon noodles.
