First beer with my daughter

~monpetit

Today my oldest daughter had her first drink with her parents. She, who is of drinking age in 2024, has been wanting to try alcohol for a few days now. She didn't want to start with high alcohol content, so her first drink was a beer.

She had a can of beer and a glass of soda soju, and other than a flushed face, she was fine. I think she's going to be a much more sophisticated drinker than her dad. I'm not sure if I should celebrate this or not.

~bartender, I'll have a stout here. I'm not in the mood for anything non-alcoholic today. 🍺πŸ₯œ

Congratulations to that! I still remember once drinking alcohol when I was sixteen, alone with a couple of beer bottles laying on the table, cap pre-snapped. It's lovely you can share a moment like this though together. Sometimes, I wish I could have shared milestones like this with my parents but alcohol is a touchy beast at times so moderation is key ha ha.

~ One stout myself please. Please side it with some peanuts and a glass of water too.

I'm not used to sharing things with my parents either. Come to think of it, I don't have much time left now. I'll have to call my mom tomorrow. :)

Congrats!

Another experiment on the way to being "adult" :-)

Oh, I do remember my first beer even after ... let me see ... something like 45 years? Yes, well.

~bartender? I'd like a stout, too. Thank you so much!

In the fall of my senior year of high school, I had my first drink with friends. I was so out of it that I went home without realizing I was drunk, and my mom ended up scolding me, haha!

It wasn't that bad, but I do clearly remember, that after one beer my brain had a subtle difficulty to decide, where the vector of gravitation points. %^>
