After a good, but exhausting day i need a little break, i direct my steps int he direction of the always open pub and as i enter it i see all the regulars and suddenly i realise that i haven't visited it for well over a month. Nodding to one or another table i head for the bar... "Bartender, may i have a Gin?"
Well, a while ago i wrote about a situation i could only describe as a worst case scenario. A pretty important visit to the inlaws in Vietnam was sheduled, my elderly dad has just broken his leg and my mom was terribly afraid of staying home alone. It was a stressfull time, but in the end... everything turned out fine. My dad is now very well on his way to a full recovery (albeit still spending time in rehab), my mom has learned again to LIKE being alone (at least for a time) and has somewhat grown again in the time my wife and i spend in Vietnam and, well, my wife and i even married again over there (but that is a story for another visit at the pub).
I finish my Gin, grab my coat and, with a slight smile, i leave the pub and start my way home to my family.
