I agree entirely in terms of being glad that it’s still active. I have a hard time finding community there, though, mainly because it seems like channels are either *huge* or almost dead. It’s tough to find the right balance.
It's crazy. I honestly thought it was dying out but no, the servers are still up there, and the clients still run smoothly, and there's hardly any netsplitting. I joined the ircnet servers just to see if they're still pumping, and they are!! Of course, much less active than they used to be, but I'm amazed they haven't gone totally dead. It seems there's a lot of Polish people who like to use IRC still, which is awesome, even if I don't speak a word.
It's nice to know that people still use it. I'm having a conversation on the #worldchat channel about sunsets n pizza...love it here.

Yeah I have been quite active on IRC (specifically libera.chat in the ##programming room). Its amazing that places like IRC still exist. Personally I haven't ventured far outside of libera. I have occasionally been in the tildeverse IRC server but want to explore more of whats out there.
