From My Dreams Do I Wake?

~theoddballphilosopher

Sometimes, after I've had a long night, and my sorrows scatter my thoughts as the moon behind the clouds, I feel myself falling into a swoon under a pair of sleepy eyelids.

And when I wake, and scant remember the dealings of what happened the night before, I often wonder, "was that me?"

Was it me who was purveying in my own ponder-some and crepuscular stupor, was it the me that was enacting my body?

Sometimes I can't help but think when the sun sets, it affects us psychologically, as if another person wakes up at the break of night.

Indeed, it is like waking up to a new world. One where most things are the same, and yet, you have never been there before.
