We'd love to see your work on the ukulele. :)
billy murray, ada jones, arthur collins, byron harlan, the american quartet, jane green, dolly kay, and so many more to be named, and how wonderful it is that i can listen to their tunes at a click of a button, in the comfort of my home!
all the names i have listed, their recordings span from the 1890s to the 1920s. they are all long dead, yet their names and legacy still carry on, every time i listen to them through my computer or my mp3 player. i preserve their songs by writing them down in a notebook, complete with chords for to play on my ukulele. this way, i can ensure that they shan't be lost, that they shan't be forgotten. i love it. i love it so much.
i wonder if people will be doing the same thing in a hundred years from now, with our music? of course, it would be in a different format, since most music to-day is released digitally, rather than on cylinders or shellac discs. maybe, a century ahead, some young college girl will be typing on her computer in a space like this, about the preservation of tunes from the 2020s, to remember the names of the musicians we have now.....
As such, I like to collect Cassette tapes and listen to them without interrupting ads.
cassette tapes! oh, they are making a bit of a comeback, the last time i heard. i have always had a soft spot for them.... my terence trent d'arby debut album has seen many uses.
