An Evening at the Fair

~theoddballphilosopher

Even after a long day working on the railroad, I decided to attend the county fair for the evening in the hopes of making a good memory, or, just for the heck of it, dine on some good truck food.

The rides and the buzzing of the local crowd give me a sense of nostalgia that I hadn't felt in a long time. But there was something missing from this beautiful picture; friends. I hadn't met any in a while, and I was wondering who I'd bump into, and when.

Luck was on my side that day, as I ran into some coworkers who happened to be there at the same time as I did, and I decided to dine with them, though I was quiet for the most part before I parted ways with them.

As the lights shined and flashed under a sky newly painted with purple and violet clouds, I ran into an old friend from college, as well as an old face from last summer. We smiled and though about what the chances were of running into each other before parted ways.

I had myself some Japanese Dumplings and Nachos with Cheese on them. I was in the mood for some mixed cuisine that night. I headed home content with a bag of candy.
