NSR Fan-story: Character description/relationships (With logs)

~louq

Hey there ~bartender, hows your day going. If you have annother glass of water, please give it to me. I am already relaxed enough already.

So, my exams are done. Now, I am ready to send out the character descriptions, and their relations to the main character “Louq”

Louq: Louq is part of a 1 man band. He makes songs by sampling other songs to make better songs. He was a major, but invisible person in the NSR. But he gained a cult following. He is more like Sayu, with his design but more calm and collective.
 Louq’s area:
Louq’s area is usually a monochrome hologram. Similar to Sayu, there is fragmented land. However, inside the monochrome world, there is a simple house. A bedroom, kitchen, living room, and a bathroom. With a piano, a guitar and drums with a telescope for stargazing. He can change his world at will if he needs to. Louq’s ability: Louq is a mix between Zuke and Mayday. He has a simple cube that is powered by the electricity of music. Usually from the plaza itself. Because it uses electricity, he uses it to trigger switches, use elevators, and damage enemies.

DJ Subatomic Supernova:
Character in-lore: DJ Subatomic Supernova is a deeply self-important and self-centered person. He does not care about small details and is quick to dismiss Bunk Bed Junction when they arrive to crash his concert, already having forgotten who they are despite having seen them perform in front of him and his fellow artists less than a few hours prior.

His dismissive attitude also affects his allies, as he insults one of the people in charge of launching the NSR Satellite, stating that it is "not rocket science", before hanging up and immediately complaining about his ice pop having melted and ordering someone to fetch him a new one.

In Cassette Tape #1, DJSS can be heard giving a speech to an audience of three, excluding the janitor. The speech is long-winded and only concerns himself and his plan to have his music to travel the farthest corners of the galaxy. DJSS acts as if he is the center of everything, and speaks in a grandiose, exaggerated manner about the vastness of space and the multitudes of stars it contains. Despite this, his gratitude towards his 3 attendees and even the janitor seems Genuine.

In Cassette Tape #2, DJSS speaks about the sense of peace he feels when looking up at the stars, which he had almost forgotten because of his constant arguing with "people of lesser intellect" back in his former career. It is here that he gets the idea to combine his passions of space and melody.

In Cassette Tape #3, it is revealed he has no real loyalty or love for NSR and just considers it a stepping stone for his personal goals. It is also revealed he secretly planned to
attach drones to the NSR satellite to continuously broadcast his music throughout Earth so he would truly never be forgotten.

Louq’s relation to DJSS:
Being a teacher with literal idiots around him leads him to form a prideful personality with the exception of Louq who was practically the “Teacher’s child” of the class. (DJSS is not Louq's father) DJSS taught Louq about astronomy a long time ago. DJSS was the major inspiration with the infrastructure of NSR through a series of stargazing conversations. Once NSR was established, Louq guided DJSS into having a district of himself. This led him to leave teaching in its entirety and lead him to making music.
During the first NSR Christmas, legend has it that he gave Louq a cube that harnessed the power of NSR, allowing him access to all facilities, and power stations. Louq also uses this as his primary weapon, stunning and killing enemies by overcurrents.

Voice tape 1:
L: Oh, I found a supernova.
DJSS: Good for you, by then it is a dead star. The light has shifted beyond the point that heat could be considered light.
L: How are stars sustained?
DJSS: Well it's a balancing act, the pressure of a star is balanced by the number of hydrogen atoms, or other fusionable elements. The star expands if fusion speeds up. If fusion slows down, the pressure takes hold until fusion speeds up.
L: What about larger stars?
DJSS: Well, some stars continue to fuse heavier and heavier elements until a ball of iron is formed. Once this happens, the star is at its terminal stage. After it reaches the Chandrasekhar limit, the density of the ball reaches to the point that gravity crushes and compresses the sphere. Then gravity pulls the outer shell with it, until it hits the core and it rebounds. Then it depends on the size, if it is small enough it will become a neutron star. A very small yet dense star. However, if it is big enough, gravity will pull it down to the point that it breaks math, leading to the creation of a black hole.

L: Could we harvest the energy of the pressure?
DJSS: Well, we can't harvest the sun or any star directly, but we can use other ways of harnessing pressure. I heard about piezoelectricity and how it could charge a city.
L: Yeah, that could work.
DJSS: Maybe a town filled with music will satisfy the need or maybe even give it to the rest.
L: Yeah, it could happen.
DJSS: If that exists, then I would leave my teaching job to make music.
L: Hmm, let's see what happens.

Sayu:
Character in-lore:
Sayu is a digital idol, one of the megastars in NSR, and the charter of Akusuka District who is the representative of cutecore. She is created, programmed, designed, and animated by a group of four adolescents, named Remi (main animator and designer), Tila (voice actress), Dodo (motion capture), and Sofa (video editing). Sayu is the 2nd boss in No Straight Roads.

Sayu is bubbly, friendly, and cheerful. She peppers references to the ocean, fish, and water in her speech and in her singing, and she frequently repeats the catchphrase "Love Love Sayu Pyun!", as well as the onomatopoeia "Pyun". She has a strong belief in the power of love. After she starts to glitch, Sayu begins to develop a split personality becoming more hostile and unpredictable.

According to Zuke, Sayu is famous for younger audiences, presumably in a range from children to adolescents.

NSR gave the 4 creators of Sayu a chance to perform and show their talents to a wider audience than one they had on their normal online spaces. It's made clear by Mayday following their fight that they're not actively aware of the power situation or the overall attitudes against NSR, though they are certainly thankful for the opportunities the company has given them and show that by defending them.

Until they battle her and make her creators panic, Sayu doesn't seem to have any actual hostility towards Bunk Bed Junction outside of rejecting them as NSR artists and trying to make them submit to NSR's domination of Vinyl City. She believes that Zuke and Mayday have romantic feelings for each other, a sentiment which they both deny. While Zuke seems more neutral to Sayu, Mayday's feelings about her are at opposite extremes: while she has no compunctions about calling Sayu "not real" and mocking her as a fictional character at the start of the fight, Mayday also calls Sayu cute with hearts in her eyes when she turns into her second phase form, and is visibly and vocally disgusted when Sayu becomes a human-legged fish, scolding her creators and telling them to "never turn Sayu into that thing ever again".

There's little information about Sayu's origin, other than being the original creation from a video game called Doki Doki Mermaid Club.
Tila, who is a fan of the game (if not, the character) created a fanart of Sayu as a human and the generic protagonist. With her passion for singing, Tila created a music video with character artwork as its placeholder, which looks unsurprisingly similar to Sayu. Unbeknownst to her, the original illustration belongs to Remi, who was working on a collaboration project called Digital Idol Cyberspace. Tila is quick to apologize to Remi on the comment, before showing him her video, which amazes him. One day, NSR inspires Tila and Remi to join in a contract, alongside Dodo and Sofa. With the group together, they brought Sayu to life.

Relation with Louq:

Remi, Tila, Dodo, and Sofa are extremely loyal to Louq as he brought them all together to build and formalize the project.

Louq, having friends with Tila and Remi, and also being the first playtester of Digital Idol Cyberspace, took an interest with this new project and decided to help.

Louq, as an semi-electrician and a semi-low level programmer built up the shell of the character and setting. He built up the framework called the “fabric engine” that allows music to interact with the scene. It is so versatile to the point he gave to a friend, and he still understood it. That confirmed how easy the fabric engine works. Then he let the both of them build the rest and control the strings. He decided to send out a couple of test albums to see how the audience reacts. The people loved it. Validated with the review, he lets the band continue. As Sayu’s albums grow in popularity, the border war finally concludes as all of the enemies surrender. Louq and Tatiana begin to build what is soon to be the country of NSR. Once NSR was completed, he guided his band to becoming what is soon to be the Akusuka district (while introducing Dodo and Sofa to the team) and eventually left the group shortly after. Allowing them to take total freedom of their work. Yet all of them talk from time to time. Besides, it's their character after all…

He manages his own abode by using his technology he made while in the group, allowing him to create music in peace.

One day, Tila found Louq’s work, and they loved it. The group plans on returning him back as a side character of Sayu. Allowing him to keep his autonomy while at the same time, letting a new generation see his work.
The mystery of the side-character led to many theories forming. Many fans of Sayu call Louq the forgotten mermaid, while others think it's Sayu's father. The crew begin to play off of those theories, and reinforce them. A bunch of fan games focus on their adventures across the ocean. Sayu’s animations usually show Louq as a fragmented humanoid body, only showing him as a mermaid after he uses a special ability that looks symmetrically similar to Sayu’s mermaid to dance with her. He likes them, and it makes sense that they make him a side character. He plays those games and sometimes completes them. Each time the leaderboard showed it, the devs were shocked.

On One Christmas night, Akusuka legend has it that Sayu enters Louq’s abode and gives him a present. It was a mask that hides his face, and instead shows a digital kawaii-esque face. (Turns out Talia made the mask after Louq’s own OC.) This allows Louq to keep his identity a secret, while showing his real face to family. The mask connects back to NSR allowing him to call his friends like DJSS, Sayu, Eve, Yinu and everyone else in the NSR network. He never lets his mask leave his head. It is a precaution to make sure he doesn't get inadvertently doxxed.

Eventually, Louq cuts all communication from the crew due to political friction. The crew understood why, but was never informed of any new news that was going to unfold. Thus they were ignorant of the power situation that is unfolding and the eventual cultural split that is going to happen.

Sayu fabric log 9:
Remi: Ok, this has gotten a bit too far.
Tila: You think, our creator just left from NSR in its entirety. Just because of some auditions.
Remi: Well, we haven't had any new bands in 8 years, that is very worrying.
Tila: The constitution of NSR states that auditions should be just, but it is really vague on how “just” the auditions be.
Remi: Yeah, she might be manipulating us. She wants us to obey. Because she is basically the head of NSR, we are forced to.
Tila: It's strangely specific to rock.
Remi: It is more like an umbrella of many things. Louq told me that he wanted to exempt heavy metal, because it conflicts with other rock bands.
Tila: Yet, Tatiana wants to remove rock in all of its forms. I'm worried that this could restrict our freedoms. Maybe we shou-
Remi: Hush… We can't let Tatiana see our actions. We have to show it in a different way, maybe show it as a different character or maybe even different themes.
Tila: Maybe our next songs will show unity and survival against oppression.
Remi: Maybe we could show Louq in our shows.
Tila: We can't blow his cover. Doing so will cause unwanted attention to him and Tatiana. If we did that, Tatiana's threat is going to be literal.
Remi: Let's just put the character on the back burner for now.

Sayu fabric log 10:
Tila: Look what I found.
Remi: What is it?
Tila: Turns out, Louq is making new songs.
Remi: Huh, we should have added him to the team as the musical if we found it sooner.
Tila: He makes songs by sampling other songs. This makes him unique from the other artists.
Remi: So he made his own meta-genre?
Tila: Yes, he did.
Remi: I'm a bit worried about copyright. He could get into trouble.
Tila: Well, he does sample songs that are more than 20 years old. So he is okay. Even so, NSR’s copyright clauses are so loose that these songs exist.
Remi: Well, that makes sense.
Sofa: Could we try to make him as a side character? Besides, he gave us the district, we should honor his work.
Remi: I'll make the designs, let's see the reaction in our next stream.

yinu:
Yinu, aka. The Golden Maestro of Vinyl City, is a child pianist prodigy, one of NSR's megastars, and the charter of the Natura District. She, with the help of her mother, represents neoclassical. Yinu is the third boss in the NSR company, and the fourth boss overall in No Straight Roads

Yinu is a highly acclaimed piano prodigy, a fitting Charter for the sophisticated crowd at Natura. While often seen as cute and innocent by the public, she can be bratty at times due to her young age.

Yinu's motif design is based on the environment of nature, hence her golden hair resembles a rose bush, and her white signature piano has a leaf-shaped lid. Her advertisement and possessions in Vinyl City also fit her physical motif. Compared to Yinu, who represents the innocent side of nature, her mother symbolizes its violent side.

Yinu is supremely confident in her skills as a pianist, and was offended when Bunk Bed Junction insulted her, "schooling" them by playing a speedy and complex piece. Unlike the other NSR artists, she herself does not perform EDM; her mother is the representative of NSR's EDM focus during their battle, while Yinu simply plays piano. As her boss battle progresses, Yinu becomes progressively more worried and frightened, relying on her mother to protect her while she is forced to continue playing. She's also seen to be emotional. She throws a tantrum when she's at her wits' end like any child would, and somber when her piano is broken from the fall at the finale of her fight.

Yinu’s mom:
The Mother is a giant red-skinned woman with yellow eyes and a heart for a nose. Her long, red hair is a scattered set of branches, making her silhouette the theme of a tree. Her only clothing we see is her black dress with a rose pattern and a ring. When angered, her eyes become pure white, her teeth become malformed, and the heart on her forehead cracks in half down the ridge of her nose. When completely enraged from seeing Yinu harmed, she transforms into a cage, with her hair forming the cage and her head in the middle.

In connection to Yinu's character motif of nature, the Mother represents the tree, and she also provides the theme of security and safety for her daughter. In additional words, the thorn-studded gate with a heart-shaped lock appears in the first phase. As the Mother becomes more infuriated towards Mayday and Zuke for crashing her daughter's concert, the environment around Natura Concert Hall transforms into a creepy, red-tinted forest, compared to the tranquil side of the nature theme of Yinu.

Relation to Louq:
Louq knows that to have a country, you must have a culture. In this case, a culture of music, in which teaching passes by generation by generation. So when he finds the little maestro, she is the right fit for the government. So, with permission from her mom, Louq guided her to become a district. Yinu and Louq usually share poems to go with her music, each of them talk about tales. He usually shows types of "Shakespearean tragedies”, which usually relate to current events in NSR. The poems with the song mixed in creates a riddle in which interacts with NSR’s culture on a deeper level.
Louq’s disappearance unfortunately lead to no new lyrical songs being made.

NSR Ratings:

Bryan - 10/10: The song is perfect, with each song Yinu shows the history of NSR better than any other star.

Leo - 10/10: I never looked into the lyrics of her songs. Once I did, I realized the tapestry of the work. Her latest work showed BBJ’s effect on the city, with a poem representing their struggles. I would recommend listening to those who are ignorant of the situations of NSR.

1010:
In-game character(s):
1010 is a boyband group made by Neon J. Their motif is a navy crew. If one member of the band gets destroyed, it is reproduced by Neon J.'s factory.
All members of 1010 have grey skin and wear black sailor suits
with white highlights, colored glowing lights on their cheeks,
and colored ties. Each has his unique hairstyle, eyebrows, eye
shape and color scheme.

The red android has a mohawk, the white android has short wavy hair, the blue android has straight hair and an undercut, the yellow android has a tall, pointy hairstyle and bangs covering his right eye, and the green android has curly hair and a large hoop on his head. The blue android wears round black sunglasses.
When damaged from the factory explosion, their faces become "melted", revealing the endoskin which resembles a dark-blue flayed human head with bare teeth and exposed circuits. Their eyes and mouth begin to glow with their respective colors, and their voices become distorted.

All members of 1010 share the same charismatic and flirtatious personality, flirting with girls and breaking out into harmony with other members when they talk or do anything. They crave the attention of other people, which feeds into their systems; giving them a boost in power when cheered, to simply self-destructing when they fail to please them. While not shown in game, their individual personalities were based on popular tropes in boy bands. White is "the main guy", Red is "the bad boy", Blue is "the cool guy", Yellow is "the young/innocent one", and Green is "the funny/weird one".

Relation to Louq:
While creating Sayu's physical body and her setting, he created a framework that works with the music called the fabric engine. It is very portable and can be implemented easily, it is also very easy for even the tech illiterate to use. One day, he decides to use the fabric engine and make it distributed towards other robots. However, there has to be one runner that handles the fabric engine itself.

Unfortunately, one of Louq's closest friends, Neon J was drafted into the "Border War". The war that left his friend mortally wounded. Louq, seeing this, told his general about the idea of the fabric engine being used to put soldiers into and into cyborgs. This could extend his life to another century, and could end the war. The general was suspicious at first, but because he didn't want to see his proud men die, he agreed. And it succeeds. The fabric engine is very flexible and adapts to the user’s needs. Neon J eventually led them in winning a very costly losing battle.

Many scientists wanted in with this “Life extension” technology, hoping that it could bring in a future. Louq was cautious at first, however he agreed under an open source license. This led to a new wave of musicians being formed.

Tatiana, seeing how powerful it is and capitalizing on the new wave of music, decided to talk to him in secret. There the idea of NSR was born.

After receiving an honorable discharge, Louq shows him the ideas of how the fabric controller can be used to control a group of robots. Neon then begins to learn Louq’s documentation of the fabric engine. Using his knowledge, he decides to make songs via a boyband, for that niche is unavailable in NSR at the tame. There, he tries to build his fictional boyband army. Going through multiple designs, he chose to find his design. Using what he learned from Louq's tools, he builds a robot that connects to his fabric engine directly. Then he builds a factory that builds robots and a teleporter to connect to the main play that activates if one of the robots is destroyed. Louq eventually guided Neon J to having his band become a district.

Military logs:

Day 100: 3:14 pm - Soldier, Neon J is now connected to the experimental fabric controller. No signs of brain damage are seen. Will check later.
Day 105: 7:15 am - Neon is ready to enter the military again. He is considered to be the first cyborg known to all of mankind. News publications are now spreading about this advancement of technology.
Day 110: 10:20 am - We lost control over the artillery due to an extensive hack. The enemies might have taken control over critical infrastructure yet it is unconfirmed. Will check up later.
Day 220: 3:00 pm - We took over critical enemy territory due to excessive military fire in their military bases and resource deposits despite notifying the high command about these plans. Their resources are cut. Due to this, the enemy's military power is crippled. We are now winning the war.
Day 225: 12:00 am - The enemy’s army and citizens revolted against their leader in a coup d'état due to hacks of the propaganda sector of the enemy's government. They are now under our territory now.
Day 225: 3:00 pm - Security results are now in. Neon J. managed to infiltrate our infrastructure, and directed all artillery to the enemy's critical infrastructure. It is also assumed that Neon also triggered a revolt by hacking into the enemy’s propaganda system. The last enemies are now gone, peace is now established.
Neon J if you are reading this… We salute you.

Eve has a stern personality and demands a lot. She is shown to be possessive of those she considers rightfully hers, though this results from a fear of solitude.

She is particularly possessive of Zuke, as he was the only person who understood her and gave her purpose until he left their band.

She's known to be dramatic and emotional. Her expression is
ever-present in her actions and designs, with everything she
does oozing with her emotion in some way, be it sadness, terror, or anger. She is also scared of the world and how it sees her, blaming that everyone is just jealous and scared of her. She's also terrified of things she cannot understand, like how Mayday and Zuke are compatible but she is not. When she loses control of a situation, she is quick to lash out at those around her, even the ones she cares about. Her behaviors can be seen almost like gaslighting, but she lashes out due to her intense fear of being abandoned.

Eve sees Mayday as inferior to her and struggles to understand why Zuke would "abandon" her for Mayday, especially when it comes to understanding art. Her envy is shown in the fight as well, where Mayday's side is visually harsher and more violent than Zuke's side. She refers to Mayday as "fire", the polar opposite to Zuke's "sea", implying that to her logic, they are not compatible.

Eve and Zuke met when the two were in college. Zuke, who was a loner just like Eve when she went by Nadia, was handpicked by her after she saw potential in his artistic insights. It is implied that Nadia and Zuke started dating for their college years. The two were in a band together before she lit Zuke's hair on fire in an incident, prompting him to leave and stop talking to her. Eve took it hard and developed an obsession with Zuke, who she thought was the only one who understood her. She refers to Zuke as the "sea" to Eve's "earth", emphasizing how important Zuke is to her. In the fourth phase, she starts growing desperate, mocking Zuke that he wouldn't have been successful if it weren't for meeting her, as if to hurt him just as he hurt her.

Her 1st hand mirror collectible reveals that Eve used to hate the pink half of herself, wearing white makeup in an attempt to cover it up. In the video, she creates a bust sculpture of herself and throws paint-filled balloons at the right half, shouting "I hate you! Curse you! Why?!". In the 2nd hand mirror, it shows Zuke and Eve creating a piece of art together using recycled materials, providing insight on their past relationship. They complete it and they take a selfie together. In their 3rd hand mirror, Eve talks about Zuke abandoning her during their performance three weeks ago. She describes the event as Zuke running away after she illuminates his hair with bright lights, but in reality, she had set his hair on fire. Eve says that she only creates trouble for someone by befriending them. Then, she makes her decision to expand the people of Vinyl City's minds and imagination, possibly with her music through NSR.

Relation to Louq:
After building NSR, Eve and zuke was the first band to join NSR, and was its foundation of success. As Zuke and Eve both experimented and created songs that are under the new “Punk” genre, Louq began to sample them, creating new songs in the process. As Louq adds more members to NSR, Zuke and Eve's relationship begins to deteriorate.

Louq’s original songs were inspired by Zuke and Eve's albums. However, the fall of the relationship made Louq realize the precarious position he is in. Seeing as no one is helping her in her sorrow, he tries to comfort Eve. Eve grew on Louq’s kindness. She dug in to Louq, and they both unknowingly formed a relationship.

Louq modifies the fabric controller for her and lets her mind manipulate everything around her. Yet instead of taking full control, she shares it creating an Eden that stabilizes their mental health. This led to a peaceful age. Until Louq, pressured by the rest of the stars left NSR and split Eve's abode into two and created an everlasting void. Louq became a watcher of NSR, hoping that NSR will let someone in. Eve knows about the situation and yearns for the days when all of them are back together. Eve was the first one that realized the result of his disappearance. Without him, NSR became divided and weak. Yet eventually saw the other extreme of NSR.

Eve’s voice diary #20:
It has been a couple of days now since zuke left me. Louq comforted me and he indeed softened the blow for me. So, I took a liking to him very quickly. He is very kind and gentle. We tried to make a song together, but unless he has something to be used as a scaffold like a sample, he can't make anything. Louq’s plan to make music is to add variety by adding more artists to NSR. I agree with that statement.

Eve’s voice diary #21:
Louq had set up the fabric controller in my realm. He told me that the fabric controlled can manipulate who is controlling the world around. He modified it so that what I think reflects on the world sees. However, I didn't want him to be left alone, so we shared control over my world. There we built an eden together. A place of peace. I did not worry about the outside, for he would protect me, while I don't have to let him worry about the outside. Louq managed to find a huge archive of music, and so he used it to make his new songs. He has to go sometimes so that he has to get more people to join. He told me that Neon J needs help becoming a district and so I helped him. And so I waited till he came back. I hope this peace doesn't end.

Eve’s voice dairy #22:
Auditions are now opening up. Many rock bands want to join in. Including my Boyfriend's band called “Bunk Bed Junction”. We both questioned why zuke has to be with a person who can cause a fire all of a sudden. Yet, Louq wants variety and quality. Bunkbed Junction helps with this.

Eve’s voice dairy #23:
Unfortunately, Tatiana is restricting the genres of music. More specifically rock based bands… Every single time Louq likes the band, the rest of them dislike it. I believed that Tatiana was exerting too much control over her stars. Thus making the judges unjust by the constitution he co-authored. He tried to warn them multiple times, yet they never listened. This isn't what Louq wanted and it's taking a toll on him. The balance is falling. Hopefully, this situation blows over and we can get a single person to join NSR.

Eve’s voice diary #24:

He left. He can't handle the stress anymore. He gave me a note saying that he left due to the fact NSR is breaking. His voice is snuffed from the rest of them. I believe Tatiana has forgotten about his dream now…
Our Eden crumbled when he left… And I'm scared that it would happen to NSR too.

If this keeps up and Tatiana goes unchecked, a revolution will spark. Besides, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Home recording 1:
Louq: Hello this is my first recording. I've decided to record here because of me being pressured on both sides from NSR and the community in the far past. I remember Eve a while back before that fateful incident. Zuke was her first companion and I didn't barge into her relationship. I continued remixing them because it is very easy for them to remix. Yet as more people came in, Eve’s mental stability began to decline. While at the same time, I begin to worry how Tatiana is beginning to over-exert his rule. Eve eventually burned Zuke’s hair. Zuke left her as a response. Realizing Eve’s mental instability, I decided to help. I let her open up about her issues. And, I told her about my issues. From the inside of eve, and the outside of mine. Together, a balance was established. Eve and I talked about Bunked Bed Junction. I explained to her that sure May could be a volcano, but zuke will try to calm her down.

Louq: As I explain what Tatiana is doing, I inadvertently pestered her. Even though I wanted to get a fair audition and at least get one of them in, I felt I picked a scab of someone else. During one judgement, I called out tatitana’s actions and I knew I almost broke her breaking point. So, I left to let her calm down. Yet I felt some kind of regret about that decision.

Louq: Some of them try to hide their faults yet some of them try to grow. And the ones that grow, let their faults amend on their own. DJSS hides his faults with solar pride and yet he can't understand the love from the people under him. Some people create realities to escape, like Sayu is just an illusion to hide the faults of 4 people. Yet in trying something else, they let their dream falter. Neon J. and his army robots to help numb the pain. Not knowing that underneath their facade, the wound of the past continues to enlarge. Yet, Eve tries to accept her faults. She might be the only one who I have no issue with and I hope will speak up in the end. That's why I help when there is no one around. But for Tantiana, hiding her faults results in regret for me and for the stars. A cascade of regret. And for me, I left because I don't want anyone to be mad or fearful. I don't want to be the bad guy.

Louq: I believe that Eve is going to suffer all alone, while I alone will suffer the fear that Tatiana is going to remove auditions in their entirety. Eventually choking out all rock bands… Let's hope that someone can break Tatiana's lens of total control.

tatiana:
Tatiana is a snooty perfectionist that heads NSR and rules Vinyl City. She is a stern, authoritarian figure: professional, political, and almost unwavering. Her main motif is keeping 'Order' in the city. She has proven to be adept in debates as well, sometimes even cornering people with her words. She's surprisingly patient and shown to be well-restrained with her emotions, and will only erupt when truly pushed to her limits. She's also very blunt and is not afraid to be harsh with her words at all. She's not one for cliches or "theatrics"; a no-nonsense attitude.

Back when she was the lead guitarist of the Goolings, Tatiana was a much nicer and more relaxed person. However, her organization of the band was not born out of a genuine sense of trust in the band, but out of a lack of self-confidence or ability to coordinate them. As a result, the band's disagreements eventually drove them apart, causing her to swing far too much in the other direction and become an obsessive micromanager with a personal grudge against rock as a genre, viewing the chaotic, anarchic culture as having caused her nothing but grief. By the end of the game, she realizes that she was being too caught up in her own past and decides to let independent bands return to Vinyl City.

Tatiana used to go by the name "Kul Fyra", and was formerly the lead guitarist for the band, The Goolings. She grew disillusioned with the band because she "gave them too much support over their ideas" which lead to conflicts within the band, causing rifts internally and leading Tatiana to want to leave the band. Once she had left the band she changed her appearance and started NSR with the philosophy that strength is the only way to rule, and ORDER should come over all else. The dismantling of the band also left Tatiana with a disdain for Rock in any form.

Relation to Louq:
After the disbandment of the Goolings, Tantiana met with Louq about Ideas of a government powered by music. She was intrigued about the idea and she went on board. Tatiana built the NSR from the ground up while Louq helped with setting up the new bands. They both agreed that rock is bad, however their scope of rock is different. Tatiana hated rock of all kinds, however Louq had a disdain heavy metal rock. This is because it conflicts with other types of rock, like catholic rock, or country rock. And having heavy metal rock in there is like having the catholic church and the church of satan side by side. It is bound to conflict. Yet this discrepancy of rock scope is never addressed. If it was addressed before its formalization, then the following events will not unfold.

After its formalization, rock bands flocked to join NSR. And with Tatiana being anti-rock, Louq is in the middle of a rock and a rock. One of the bands, Bunkbed Junction, was Louq's favorite rock band and wanted them to join. Yet Tatiana rejects all of them, due to them being a rock band. Resulting in a deadlock. This has led to unintended tension between Louq and Tatiana, and sometimes leading to her losing her temper. This led to Louq departing from NSR to avoid internal friction and stress.

Eventually, due to multiple deadlocks between voting and no new people joining, future auditions were canceled and thus Tatiana had set a new precedent. Disallowing many new people to become part of NSR. BBJ was the only band that appeared in the final audition.

This leads to any chance of variety to be snuffed out. With that, people begin to cluster into the remaining bands. Leading to sectionalization. Those fans eventually became loyal and disillusioned believing that their band shows NSR the best. This threatened the structural balance of NSR as a whole.

When BBJ joined in, Louq watched through everything they did. Even though BBJ actions make some semblance of sense, he is concerned about the damage they are doing to the city. BBJ’s damage to Sayu is severe to the point that the fabric’s self repair procedures can't even start up.

After the events of NSR, Tatiana cooled down, lifted the rock ban, and even embraced rock culture… However, Tatiana regretted the precedent she had made, and wants it to be revoked but can't due to the laws they both set. Kliff, seeing that Tatiana can't change it, decides to sabotage the messages hoping that they can repeal it by force.

BBJ's second inadvertent sabotage of the stars, including her friend Louq, made her furious, unreasonably furious.

Home recording 2:
Louq: Hello this is my Second recording. Anyone else hearing this can learn what happened to me in the previous one. Anyways, there is a new band that is terrorizing the city. I'm more concerned about our new members that are going to join. I believe they are going to die and stain the NSR building. It reminds me of a story about a tiger that is similarly named to the leader of the NSR Government, “Tatiana” from the San Diego zoo. A group of friends pestered the poor tiger, threw garbage and taunted the tiger. Tatiana the tiger then jumped over the wall and murked one of them and left the others wounded. One of the men went far away to a cafe, yet the tiger catched up to him and mauled him. People didn't believe him until it actually happened. That was gruesome…
Louq: I believe that this event is going to happen again… And it would be expected… Lets just hope they survive.

Lights Up Audition Background recording 9:
Louq: We never elected any one in the past 8 years. Why didn't you accept any?
Tatiana: It's because you picked the ones that I hate.
Louq: You think so, we need variety if NSR wants to survive. Most EDM bands don't have any semblance of quality, while rock bands surpass the quality that NSR wants.
Tatiana: NSR is stable as it is!
Louq: You were the governor while I helped with the others. Did you manipulate the votes?
Tatiana (with eyes looking back and forth): No, I did not. I did my work. I worked justly.
Louq: sighs Screw it. You are going to damage NSR as a whole!
Louq closed the door and left the judgement building.
Sayu: You shouldn't have done that… Maybe you should give us some swimming room or -
Tatiana: SAY ANOTHER THING OR I WILL CLOG YOUR GILLS WITH FIRE. UNDERSTAND?
Sayu: … Yes… Ma’am…
Tatiana: Good…
Eve watches silently with all of the commotion as his ex-boyfriend leaves the building. Eve knew that the NSR that Louq knew was dead…
