It stands for DataCenter. Its a datacenter from the company OVH Cloud that has burned.

Do we know anything about the cause of the fire ?

I don't really like twitter, but it's never good when a government is trying to block a place where you can express yourself freely...

If we compare what Ukraine and Russia write, it is often seen that these are diametrically different thoughts on the same events. People trust those they follow.

But this is a problem inherent to most human beings and does not come from twitter. It's always easier to follow the source that goes our way and therefore to believe the one that is most often in that case. So whether it's on Twitter or in the newspapers, people will go with what suits them.

So banning a media just shows that the government does not appreciate what is said on the platform and therefore more generally does not support free speech.

They do not know how to twitter, it is obvious that this is the reaction of the loser.

I think about it a lot, and this is, of course, a reaction to the fact that "my thoughts" are not always expressed there. One way or another, this is a media in which there is a lot of propaganda in one direction or another.

Propaganda is, unfortunately, everywhere there are people. Banning a media does not solve this problem, it only displaces it.

Definitely a crappy situation with OVH. Apparently they were storing backups in the same location as the servers. My employer's public website (not a small company, though not international) was hosted there. Good thing we've had backups copied elsewhere and were able to quickly spin up a replacement on AWS.

Is/was your government blocking other popular sites as well?

do not black out, but sometimes they try and impose heavy censorship. I can’t say that it’s always for no reason.

It is technically very difficult to block any services, but the idea is clearly developing in this direction. The Internet has become a political technology. I think this is one of the reasons why we is here.
