I have finally opened an Arcade a few blocks away from the Midnight. It's on main street, you can't miss it:
Brewed's ArcadeThe only problem is that it doesn't have many games currently. So to the Midnight crowed, here's the deal: if you recommend a game, I'll offer you a drink of your choice, and you'd be more than welcome to have it with us at:
our tableYou'd also get a life-long membership at the Arcade!
I'm looking for retro and original games. Even better if you've made it. Text adventures work perfectly. I would rather not include commercial games or games that require a high-end computer to play.

Small update: I've been reading a lot about ANSI art. I wasn't around at the time of BBS but it's impressive what's doable with ASCII and some control sequences to put some colors. I've struggled a lot to get something to work on my system, mostly because of how encodings have changed in the past 30 years.
I've seen that most of the art made back then used an encoding/character set called CP 437 which extends ASCII by adding another bit. I've found a software that makes it simple to draw with that encoding:
PabloDrawI discovered some insanely great art that people are doing with ANSI sequences. Here are some links:
https://artpacks.org/I started to use PabloDraw to create "Membership Coupons" for the arcade. To view them on my system (which uses UTF-8), I run the file through iconv and alter some escape sequences and voila.
Hold and behold, the first membership coupon goes to you, stargazer!
