Dream VII

10:00 a.m.

There I was, standing next to her, ready for action.

But the woman did not even glance at me. She rattled off the plan to the whole group and got them moving.

I ran off to spit my gum and thought I'd call my old friend up. He was relaxing in his cot. I asked him if he'd be interested in joining us. He was.

When we made our way back, our seats were taken. There were new faces all around us. Grumbling, I pushed forward.

I took my place, next to her, like always. My mentor didn't even look at me. No signs of acknowledgement.

Once in position, everyone got orders except us. They were carrying on without us. I thought I'd belonged here. A deep sadness overwhelmed my heart. I was no longer needed here. Part of it was my fault. I had ruined our working relationship. Now I was a nobody. It hurt a lot. But I just had to suck it up.

tetris

Interpretation: You harbor feelings of inadequacy and guilt in your working environment, probably from not getting enough positive feedback in your life, or believing your past successes were not deserved (Imposter Syndrome?)

Recommendation: Take comfort in the idea that people are rewarded unfairly and almost randomly for their decisions.
