Midnight Pub

jerryeeee

I am a Computer Engineering Student (basically half Computer Science and half Electrical Engineering) at Ohio University

Pro tip: Don't go to university for engineering if you value your sanity and sleep schedule

I have far to many hobbies than any normal person should have, some of which are:

Programming

(This is relatively new to me and I just love the alternative workflow of a lisp dialect like common-lisp)

Linux

Currently I use Arch Linux

I used to daily drive gentoo on my laptop, can't now because compiling kills my laptop's battery, this would be fine if I didn't use it for college)

Emacs

The programming-centric text editor that canonically is an operating system within itself

I used to use EXWM and system e which is basically system d [init system] but written in emacs lisp [Extension language for Emacs] for the uninitiated all just to help proliferate the joke that Emacs is a complete operating system

Road and mountain biking (I blame my father for these)

When I was little my dad would take me mountain biking on some easy trails close to were we used to live

Now that I am in college, my dad gave me his old Specialized HardRock. The bike supposedly is older than me.

Exploring Gemini and Gopher

I swear these protocols perfectly preserves the magic of the "old web"

The only reason why I found this little site is because of my discovery of a Gopher/Gemini client

within Emacs and I wanted to try it out.

Audiophile Headphones

current setup is a pair of Hifiman Sundaras with a Focusrite 2i2 because I am reluctant to put fourth effort to buy a Schiit Modi and Magni
