Midnight Pub

detritus
C'mon detritus! You *know* you want a little piece of this one! ;-)

Why yes, I love the topic of a beautiful morning! And some coffee to go with it! I like to read in the morning, such is my addiction to words.

I may have something to say about the uh... stuff on TV, sometimes I wonder whether the pub is a good place to splatter my opinions on the circus, some people getting very upset about this kind of stuff. It's actually just the stuff that has turned anon boards into a veritable shitshow. But right now, really, I can only really sit back and have fun at all that's going on. I take it you're anglo-american? You may not like what I have to say at all......

You seem to be saying that topics are responsible for interaction degradation.

To me, the responsibility lies with those incapable of handling such topics faithfully redirecting such topics to being about the intelligence and/or morality of other participants ("inferior") relative to themselves ("superior").

The more descriptive word then 'shitshow' might be 'selfshow'.

Matches don't light themselves. Some people are capable of handling them for benefit; others carelessly/foolishly as effective entropy accelerant.

I can understand how someone identifying with such a category might hurt themselves on non-flattering associations links to the category.

But I'm not one of them. Brush strokes the width of the likes of heritage, country/region of origin, and skin color seem like unnecessary limitations, e.g. "I'm a <wide brush stroke label>!"

So I say go for it. Just keep in mind I may have a response that makes light of believing in such categories/labels as though relevant to the essence and/or behavior of individuals in the first place.
