I'm impressed! Getting the card/driver packet/TCP-IP stack to play nice together was not a fun process back in the day. While I'm attracted to the logical simplicity of DOS, there are aspects of it that I *really* do not miss :)

That's dope. Kinda makes me wish I had a beigebox like that, too!
Yes, it reminds me of the days of my childhood when I had a windows 95 box, the very austere nature of such a system appeals to me infinitely more than the modern ones full of bells and whistles. That's part of the reason I've been considering to use plan9, it feels like such an old system that I can "fit in my head".
Maybe I will get a beigebox after all! If I can find one these days...
