hmm
sounds dangerously
close
to what is usually
termed
'echo chamber'
i think
the true benefit
of any social place
be it online
or off
is that we encounter
divergence
and try and understand
other's views
i may not agree exactly
but i can accept
that you do
i would point out
that perhaps
the reason you sometimes
feel judgement
is because some of those views
are deeply unpopular
i wouldn't say it
reflects on your character
i think you're
a fine fellow
but some of
the sentiments
you've espoused are
things that many
are exhausted with
that is prevalent
in other
less fun
and more exhausting
parts of the internet
the signal to noise ratio
when it comes to
political discourse
and propaganda
across the spectrum
is off the charts
which makes such
discourse
close to impossible
people are getting their
info
or disinfo
from too many
sources to have
an agreed upon reality
me?
i'm a communist wolf
i can't stand the dems or repubs
it's all the same
bourgeoisie bullshit
which renders any
discussion moot on my end
on whether to go
for slightly more fascist capitalist
or slightly less fascist capitalist
in the end
it's really the same
but
i shy away from
online debate
i've grown weary of it
in my older years
too much
of a damn minefield
to navigate
