Wednesday 6th...
This can't bve happening.
Best line I've heard in a long time:
"Looks like the garbage took out the trash!"
Exactly.
Working on some new site monitors. The usual combination of fun and frustration. Amazing how many times one can fail to imagine edge cases even when attempting to solve not too difficult a problem.
Thinking about a new guitar. Always a tough decision, mostly along the lines of whether it's obsession or genuinely needed.
But, then, what isn't?
I get kind of a kick out of the silence that follows a political comment. No idea what it's about, but of course negative interpretations/guesses come to mind more readily than do positive counterparts.
Really nice day after a somewhat grueling day of preparation culminating in performance. Playing the accompaniment role to a handful of newbie performers is more difficult than I'd anticipated.
The main question is how much longer this body can hold up doing all the setup and tear down. I suspect I'm soon going to need to enlist assistance, which I tend to avoid because in my experience people being helpful has almost never been truly helpful. It generally introduces more work and inconvenience than just doing the work alone. But body going wonky/haywire does too, and it's to the point where unhelpful "help" may be the lesser evil.
Bedtime!
The only thing I hear in peoples' embracing debunked hoaxes is admission of shit for brains.
I'm also tired of proclamations that X is actually Y. Yawn.
Than includes what constitutes hate. It seems having an opinion other than what a nexus of insecurity believes it ought be is hate.
It's time to ignore these train wrecks of personhood/individuality angrily proclaiming such.
I mean, personhood is a train wreck eventually going to happen. But it can be salved, even remedied. But feeding it guarantees eventual disaster.
One such remedy is called "Christianity". It seems to work for those who give it a legitimate, honesty try, and don't give up if not first - or even Nth time - succeeding. Of *course* imperfect beings are going to fail a system. To believe that imperfection is the system's fault is that imperfection's best game.
But Christianity is far from the only.
And of *course* people not genuinely seeking remedy alter and augmented teachings to lessen their effectiveness, then proclaim said alterations/augmentations to be the teaching.
Those who are sincere in their practice eventually see through that.
So, whatever. You don't want remedy from the misery of selfhood/individuality? Oh well. But your attacking the teaching or others attempting to genuinely practice is only adds to your misery.
Good luck with that.
Well... my latest search ("who won the us presidential election") returned results showing that the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Associated Press, Reuters, and other "news" sources saying that Donald Trump one the 2024 US presidential election.
Turns out there still are more adults than whiny, belligerent, self-harming children in the room. The former simply needed to be patient while letting the latter have their way for a few years, in which time they hung themselves in public.
Turns out the implied noose can't get any tighter than incessantly screaming "Hitler!" and/or "Fascist!". They left themselves no farther to go in their ridiculousness.
Turns out public tantrums don't sway adults.
Not that their ongoing tantrum will end. Those stupid enough to self-harm don't magically "see the light". They'll shriek and wail in other ways.
In fact, they'll do everything but the one thing that works, which is letting go of their mental illness, starting with their mythical self/person/individuality.
Self-harm begins with believing in a self, then becoming primarily self-focused, fanning the flames of said illusion until meltdown is attained.
It's so simple that only a self couldn't see it....
Of *course* the internet is at odds with peace, because searching always is, and the main thing to do online is search.
Sometimes writing is part of one's search.
For starters, it requires searching for the right words, otherwise aiodjjl.vaf;i;ou aklksjo09 dass;difjao;
(See what happens when not searching for the right words when writing?)
Then, sometimes the goal - whether or not one is aware of it - is to attract others. One is searching (ha!) for others by essentially setting traps for others, trying out varieties of word bait. Their attention constitutes tender vittles.
"Why" doesn't matter. Thinking one needs/wants others is sufficient reason. If there is a more elaborate reason than that, it'll likely change anyway, because the activity of searching implies not finding, so one will try out new reasons to see if whatever one has pre-defined as not happening or being possessed might happen or become possessed if a better reason is in place, which of course means nothing more than repeated a reason to oneself, and then pretending it's a motive for one's free will that one doesn't have to begin with.
There are no mysteries in the absence of insisting there are mysteries.
Rest back behind within and it's all solved.
Got it?
Seeking is by definition not finding/having.
If it's there, it can't be here - those notions being infinitely opposite.
Ignoring the obvious is necessarily misery.
Thinking about it doesn't change it. It only changed the thinking about it.
And the thinking about it isn't it.
It's so obvious that only seeking it could miss it.
Happiness is the absence of searching for it.
Ditto on peace.
Fulfillment.
And so on.
This screen was perfect until I felt it needed to be different.
It can be said better, but to try to say it is to miss it.
How did we ever come to believe that aboutness could be better than isness, aka suchness?
It's very simple, and available at all times by not running from it, aka searching for it.
