Introductions, introductions

I'm glad I recieved my key! I've been reading posts from here for a few weeks, and I absolutely adore this place.

I'm probably younger than most folks here, I'm 19 and currently studying engineering in a third world country, I hope to save up enough so that my girlfriend and I can leave here one day.

I'm sort of new to this alternate section of the internet, I abandoned social media a while ago but it took some time for me to find the blogosphere and such. But I'm very glad I eventually did, my life is much better. I really enjoy writing, tinkering with electronics, math and history. A generalist when it comes to interests, although I'd like to be REALLY good at one particular thing someday. I'm a very blessed individual, who spends most of his days happy in the company of his cat Doodle and his lovely girlfriend.

Apart from that, I am working on a blog which should be up soon. I'll link it in my next post perhaps. I'm really looking forward to being here, reading your posts and interacting with you all! Have a lovely day.

Why leave to a different country, then? Do you really want to go all the way to, say, China, and immerse yourself in a completely alien country and leave a happy life behind for the lure of a "developed country"?

Ah perhaps I wasn't clear enough, it's not really the nature of this country that makes me want to leave. Well partially, it is, we have a whole host of disgusting politics. But mostly it is to get away from our families who make things quite difficult, and will only make it worse as we grow older. For starters, we wouldn't even be allowed to marry each other :/
