Funny to fine a fellow St. Louisian in the pub.

(I left some time ago, but grew up in Ferguson and spent w0 years living in the city.)

Glad you’ve discovered the joy of walking!

Hey! My Uncle and his family live near Ferguson in Beardstown (I think is the name). How'd you like the city, and what area?

Yes, walking is the best. Very therapeutic :)

Roughly: 15 years in Ferguson (in the boring part near the old train station, but I am also familiar with the streets #BLM was born on), 5 in the Central West End, 10 on South Grand, 5 Downtown. (And then on to Seattle.)

I’m an urban rat. St. Louis is lovely but no part of it is quite dense and vibrant enough for my taste. Though there are certainly gems and I enjoy my return visits.

Though there is a limit! Much of Manhattan is too busy for me, as are some neighborhoods here in Amsterdam.

Awesome. I lived on South Grand for a year, across from Compton Hill Reservoir Park. Loved it there. And St Louis is less dense than a lot of other cities from what I hear. I've been to/from the 8th & Pine Metro to a coffee shop and back and didn't see a soul one time. Hope you're enjoying Amsterdam! :)

I get the idea of looking at each year accomplishments, I think we all do that.

At the same time I think that if you have a year with big accomplishments, it was probably stressful, complicated, with moments of doubt.

What I mean is that a year of success might not mean that you had a great year if you don't like being under pressure.

Because of that I think we should also learn to enjoy simple things, that are kind of easy to achieve. For example seeing friends, having a meal with them and playing games.

Wishes you all the best!
