I read themidnight on gemini. But posting I use firefox. I have made two attempts to post per script, but /something/ important evaded my eyes, and I never managed. However, since firefox or more precisely torbrowser is running anyway ...

As for the http matter, after a quick investigation I found out that posting on the Midnight Pub board requires authentication tokens, which Gemini doesn't handle easily, hence resorting to http.
Man, this coffee is delicious, warms my old bones up!
Deep down in the trenches, excuse me, in "The Manual", there is a script. Search for "Post using your terminal". Its a bit of shell around curl incantations.
