May it be the end of site/URL divorce. pastor m15o!
I came across an article called Cool URIs don't change [1] yesterday. It's was written by Tim Berners-Lee in 1998. It talks about designing URLs so they don't change. Not tomorrow, not in 2 years, not in 100 years. Knowing that this article is more than 20 years old and is still available at the same place is mind-boggling. There's an elegance in simple things, and a sense of robustness. That simple file, talking about how URIs should persist over time, delivered what it preached. It also motivated me to rethink the way URLs are constructed on the Midnight. So we now have a different routing scheme, which will hopefully allow us to still be able to refer to posts in 10 years from now!
