There is such a thing as too far in the opposite direction.
It's okay to be yourself, don't worry so much about conformity bias and understand that you will always find joy in being yourself no matter how degenerate you are.
I'm sorry, but when I see people describe others as "degenerate" even in jest I assume they've been on 4chan drinking the alt-reich's koolaid.
As long as you are not neglecting your responsibilities to others or harming others, I agree. This is of course the "x=x" of ethics, though, isn't it? We could argue all day about what actually constitutes these two criteria.
