According to my math I found the midnight pub a week ago.

I was wandering the side roads and alleyways for distraction, to help ease my anxiety.

I've discovered a thin seam of plain simple text websites that have rekindled my interest. (Neocities here I come)
I've found a news source I can cope with.
I've discovered gemini

So far the fellow patrons have all shown themselves to be an interesting, charming, eccentric, and - most of all - a friendly bunch.

( The ~bartender seems to have *everything* somewhere behind that bar)

I feel the that while they're small and niche, they will work as intended -- but once the internet horde gets wind of it, it will be too much for the mods to moderate, and generating text spam is very very easy.

I've had to do a couple of 'writing for the web' courses in the last few weeks. Making your content fit someone else's search and ranking algorithm. And making it a clone.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of good advice on plain language, structure etc. But the SEO stuff just felt wrong.

Maybe I am wrong...
