My young musician friend didn't realize that PayPal notifications acknowledging purchases from him would wind up revealing his real name to others. His workaround will be to tell others that's his manager's name.... :-)

I guess the winners will either forever be ignorant, or any winners who are awarded Gold medals will immediately be disqualified, in which case you could only hand out medals to those with the longest disqualifications if you really needed to rank players somehow.
I don't count the dead as players - yes, inaction is part of the play, but the participant should at least be consciously inactive.
