Midnight Pub

"I needed someone to bleed.."

~tffb

"Just What I Needed" plays in clarity on Rockaway Radio (Ohio) via radio.garden

I sip cooled coffee, ~bartender, another?

I ready myself for a night of coffee, music from far away, pricing CB's on amazon (a smaller, Cobra unit is being purchased (likely)).

The floor fan beside is shut off, choosing warmth instead

And cool weather - didn't go above 80 today. Same for tomorrow, a day which may see me making breakfast at clubhouse. Then home, laundry, more web lurking

hello Pubbers!

hey rd!

yea it's a treat and a gem! :)

all kinds of weird stuff I've found over the years - infinitemac.org (mac OS 1-9 in the browser), telehack.com (explore AARPANET), WWWTXT (random messages from message boards starting from the early 80s), and modern ones like radio.garden, poolside.fm, etc

glad you like it :)

hey, thanks! infinitemac and poolside are new to me, going to have to check them out as well. :-) telehack and WWWTXT i've checked out before and they are certainly also gems. always love adding new stuff to my infinitely-expanding bookmark collection!

been listening to radio.garden for the last little bit while surfing. currently tuned into J1 Radio Gold in japan and having a beer. fun nights. :-)

ha cool. Those all-encompassing, desktop-like sites like poolside and another (midnight.fm?) are always fun.

I was listening to Rockaway in Laurelville, Ohio, and t was almost "too" spot on to the tunes played on my local STL station back in the early 1990s. In other words, it's amazing! :)

~bartender, a coffee please :) It's 1:00 AM, my feet are swollen for reasons unbeknownst to me (dropping water weight I think, cooler temps) and I am going to turn on r.g and relax by the window

Cheers, all!

BTW, I'm rather enjoying playing radio.garden stations while scanning/reading the Wikipedia entry for whatever town/city the station is in. I'm feeling like such a world traveler here on the couch!

ah, an Armchair PhD in World Music. From the rock classics of Ohio, to the obscure Samba covers in Latin America, Norwegian folk/death metal, melodies of Longbearn. All possible with the scanning, scrolling clicks and taps of radio.garden and the amusement it brings.

I will tune in tonight, and stay on Rockaway Radio like the simple-minded/easy to please fool I am. Such *amazing* tracks there! Like 90s KSHE (as I mentioned before). Can't pull me away!

To the far and the fun!

Finally got with radio.garden... peeeeeritty nifty!

I mean, it'll likely go the advertising-intrusive way that most if not all online thingies go. But for now it's in the pure joy zone.
