Ah, the way online "places" lead the way in the great game of ephemerality!

Right, in this case all of ^c disappearing (potentially). IRC is C's strongest trait, busy in the chat v frequently. I still advocate a Midnight IRC.

I'm not sure I'd IRC anymore. I set up irssi a while back, and visited a bunch of networks. But, of course, go sorta gotta know what channels on what networks might be active, because starting/"join"ing one's own leads only to waiting endlessly for nothing.

"Bus Stop" seems a bit like chat to me, but at much slower pace.

But then so do replies at Midnight.

But back to whether I'd IRC. I'm not sure what *about*. "Oh, hey". "Hey". "Okay, see ya." Is kind of how I imagine it going. But I could be wrong. And beyond that, I rather enjoy spending time pondering how to reply, and working on a reply that feels fun/clever to me. I'm not sure I could feel that at chat pace.

IRC is max ephemeral for me, ha. I don't even have to think about exchanges had after. Just that I "chatted" a bit. IRC is also slow and consistent in a "sane" way, unlike AOL chats in the laught-90s (am I dumb for saying laught?). Ctrl-c reminds me of the AIM private chats I would put together nightly in 2001/02, just friends babbling about whatever all night. Ctrl-c isnt guaranteed that nightly. But it happens at times.

I can't remember if I ever IRC'd in a big way. It mostly seemed a cool concept, and I'd enjoy following exchanges even without adding to them. But I was way too enamoured of longer-form then and now.

Except in Midnight replies, of course.... ;-)

yeah, i used to live in OK

it gets HOT and

``H´,`U´,`M´,`I´,`D´´

can't stand a sticky heat

i took the liberty of dl-ing

all the ^Z issues and zipping them

into one archive

i uploaded the link to my google drive:

hopefully that helps ;)

Ah cool. Thank you! Backups are always good. No idea where I will mirror from the original Ctrl-ZINE.html page from ^c, but a bunch of members will hopefully mirror elsewhere besides the C server.

Appreciate it

of course!

i'll keep the archive around as

a redundancy

if i had a server up i'd host

sadly running a rasp pi server from

a tent isn't feasible right now...lol
