Midnight Pub

And we're live. Welcome!

~m15o

"I think we're ready", I tell bartender. "Are you sure?". Not at all, I think. "Yeah, 100%!". Well, the new Midnight is now open for business. But before anything, huge gratitude goes to apeia, binge3ater, brewed, brightblue, inquiry, jrib, martin, shiloh, sls, tffb, Y and Zed. Thank you for exploring this barren place and helping me find ways to crash the pub's software multiple times!

Speaking of this pub's software -- this is the biggest change of this new iteration. It's built to still be around in 10 years. To be simple enough to stand the test of time and new technologies, while being flexible enough to allow us to interact and enjoy what bartender has to offer us.

I think there's much bartender and I still need to do -- such as finish working on our cocktail card, but in the meantime, feel free to hop around the different rooms. Here's a manual that describes everything that's doable: https://midnight.pub/manual

Couldn't be more thrilled to welcome all of you in this little place.

Cheers everyone!

PS: I've open-sourced the code at https://sr.ht/~m15o/midnight-pub

Nice work. I noticed that there's no more JavaScript dependency; I was able to post this comment using lynx. :)

Hehe. Believe it or not, you were the one who inspired me to rethink the way I should build Midnight.

Well, I like what you've done with the place. And I see the jukebox has "Edge of Thorns" by Savatage. Nice.

I appreciate that!

Congratulations, m15o!

Thank you inquiry! You played a huge part in helping me set it up.

Awww, thanks!

Plus, it's really nice to have something online to do other than inundate read.write.as with my questionably appropriate commentary.... :-)

Happy to be back! Quite the change in scenery; excuse me for a moment while I reorient myself with the new layout :)

Glad to see you back nsilvestri! Yeah, quite a change. How are things on your end?

In my life, things are happening, which is quite a change in its own right! I don't have much to complain about which is a blessing.
