Just a hello and a recipe

Hi everybody. I hope everyone is well. I'm happy to be here, I've been looking for a spot like this for a long time. Lately I've been quite into baking, and I'd like to start my time here on a good note by offering this recipe to you. A friend of a friend stole it from a very popular local bakery years ago. I quartered it so this should make 6-8 chocolate chip cookies.

1/2 stick butter

1/4 stick shortening

1/4 cup white sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1 and 1/4 cup flour

Pinch of salt

Chocolate chips to your liking

Then all you've got to do is bake at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 10 ish minutes. I hope you all will try it if you get a chance, thank you for allowing me to join you tonight! I look forward to getting to know everyone.
