The first degree is to dare:
To desire -- to be drawn by the magnetic pull
Of the unknown which endlessly compels
Curiosity and enchants us in full
With the challenge to know the world -- and ourselves.
The second degree is to know:
Initially, to survey the extent of that of which we're ignorant.
Subsequently, to begin to illuminate the same.
Diligently, to read, to do, debate foment, to subject each assumption to experiment.
Eternally, to return anew -- learning is an endless game.
The third degree is to keep silent.
